Borremose Man, Photo Nationalmuseet in Copenhagen.

Bog bodies like Tollund Man are found across the northwestern part of Europe, where the climate favors the creation of raised bogs. The dating of the bog bodies can vary, but a lot of them can be dated to the Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age. Most of them didn’t die from natural causes. They were killed and deposited in the bog.
